I think part of it is that our rivalry is "younger" than the Nice Sunflower Sweden Flag Shirt. We first met in 1958, whereas Clean Old Fashioned Hate, The Big Game, Deep South's Oldest Rivalry, and the Iron Bowl have all been around since before 1900. I think UF-FSU is an amazing rivalry and I wouldn't trade it for anything else, but I think we just need more volume of games for it to get venerable names and trophies. I think the '90s with Bowden-Spurrier really elevated our rivalry ahead of schedule. If it wasn't for Bowden, Florida would probably be excited primarily for the Cocktail party (a 1915 rivalry).
